May Medal - Results
Tough conditions for golf for the May Medal, didn't stop John A Nolan, a magnificant 79 (nett 69) saw him 3 shots clear of the field.
An 81 from Paul Mooney was good enough to win best gross.
David Carey, in his first year at Millicent won class 1 with a nett 72 (playing off 10). Class 2 was won by Michael Donlon with a nett 73(playing off 18) and class 3 by Michael Hahn wiht a nett 78 (playing off 20).
Club Invitational
Please note Friday May 18th as the 'Club Invitational Day'. This is the one day in the year where all proceeds go the the Ladie's and Men's Clubs and is a very important fundraiser.
Format is singles stableford, competition is open to all Ladies and Men with prizes for non -GUI golfers as well.
The event this year is generously sponsored by Johnston, Mooney and O'Brien, entry fee is €15 for guests and €5 for members and food will be available all day.
UPDATE: Afternoon tee times look pretty full, but still some availability in the morning. Check with the clubhouse.
